MSA Gassonic is the world’s leading manufacturer of fixed ultrasonic (acoustic) gas leak detectors for the oil, gas and processing industries.

Their gas leak detectors are in compliance to the Norwegian requirements. The Gassonic detectors are suited for instant and reliable detection of pressurized gas leaks in hazardous areas on- and offshore.

Ultrasonic gas leak detectors respond to the ultrasonic noise, which pressurized gas leaks generate. Therefore, they detect leaks instantly in a radius up to 20 m from the detector without having to wait for an explosive gas cloud to build up and without being affected by wind conditions.

The Gassonic Observer-i has Features Artificial Neural  Network (ANN) technology that distinguishes between real gas leaks and false alarm sources. The detectors have 4-20mA and HART output to the control system. These gas detectors works even when traditional methods of gas detection are unsuitable or dependent on ventilation. Also including the SENSSONIC™ self-test technology enhancing the reliability of the new Gassonic gas detectors and ensuring failsafe operations.
